Windsor Regional Hospital is one of the largest hospitals in the Province of Ontario and we are very proud to say we are one of the top 10 largest community teaching hospitals. It is the regional tertiary provider of advanced care in complex traumas, dialysis, cardiac care, stroke and neurosurgery, intensive care, acute mental health, family birthing, neonatal intensive care, pediatric services, regional cancer services and a broad range of medical and surgical services.

An Honour Roll is published monthly highlighting all recipients.
We have on-site gym facilities at each campus. In addition, we have onsite exercise programs: pilates, bootcamp, strength & tone, yoga, Zumba®, and Weight Watchers that are offered at both Metropolitan and Ouellette campuses. There is a section of the Healthy Lifestyle website dedicated to providing information that can be used both at work and at home. At Windsor Regional Hospital we recognize the importance of professional growth and personal development. The Tuition Assistance program provides financial assistance for staff who are completing continuing education programs and/or for support of Human Resources initiatives that may require individuals to complete identified course requirements (eligibility requirements apply per hospital policy).

Windsor Regional Hospital currently operates out of two campuses – the Met Campus and the Ouellette Campus. The hospital has more than 3,700 staff members, 515 physicians, and 890 volunteers. Through Windsor Regional Hospital’s affiliation with the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry-Windsor Campus, there are also a number of medical school students and resident physicians working at the two campuses.

FUTURE INNOVATION
Windsor Regional Hospital is in stage 2 of approvals from the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care working toward the construction of a new 1.6 million sq.ft., 10-storey hospital construction, as part of a larger system transformation that includes an Urgent Care/Satellite Emergency Facility and additional services in the city’s core.
